Wrestling Academy LLC – Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility for Membership
Membership is open to individuals aged 5 years and older. Minors under the age of 18 must be registered and signed up by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age. The parent or guardian is fully responsible for the behavior, conduct, and compliance of the minor participant with all terms and policies herein.
2. Membership Options and Fees
- Monthly Membership: Access to scheduled training sessions during the membership month.
- Family Discount: A second participant signed up under the same account receives a discounted monthly rate.
- Registration Fee: A one-time, non-refundable registration and account setup fee of $100 is charged upon sign-up for the first participant. Additional participants under the same account are exempt from this fee.
- Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstance, including missed classes.
3. Waiver of Liability
All members, or their legal guardians if under 18, must sign a Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement prior to participating in any class or activity at Wrestling Academy LLC. Participation without a completed and signed waiver is strictly prohibited. The waiver outlines the risks inherent in contact sports, including but not limited to wrestling, physical conditioning, and mat-based activities.
4. Attendance & Missed Classes Policy
- Members are expected to attend scheduled classes. Missed classes will not be refunded or credited.
- Participants may attend the next available class for their age/skill group if they miss a session.
- Sick or visibly ill members should not attend class to ensure a safe and healthy training environment for others.
- Wrestling Academy LLC reserves the right to refuse participation for individuals who exhibit health conditions that may pose a risk to themselves or others or are deemed incompatible with safe training participation.
5. Health and Medical Restrictions
- Due to the physical and contact-intensive nature of wrestling, participants must be in good physical health and free from any medical condition that would make participation unsafe.
- Wrestling Academy LLC reserves the right to request a physician’s clearance for any participant with a pre-existing health condition.
- Individuals with health conditions that compromise their ability to safely train may be restricted from participating.
6. Cancellation Policy
- Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing 30 days’ written notice.
- There are no refunds for any remaining time in the billing cycle.
- Cancellation requests must be sent via email or submitted in person at the front desk.
7. Code of Conduct
To ensure a respectful, disciplined, and safe training environment for all members, Wrestling Academy LLC requires strict adherence to the following Code of Conduct:
- Respect for Others: All participants must treat coaches, staff, fellow members, and facility property with respect at all times. Bullying, harassment, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Sportsmanship and Attitude: Members are expected to maintain a positive and encouraging attitude during training, competitions, and events. Poor sportsmanship, including excessive arguing, name-calling, or inappropriate language, is grounds for disciplinary action.
- Listening and Cooperation: Members must follow the instructions of coaches and staff at all times. Repeated refusal to listen or disruption of class may result in removal from training sessions.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Members must arrive for training in clean gear, free of strong odors. Fingernails must be trimmed, and skin infections or open wounds must be disclosed to staff. Shoes worn outside are not permitted on the mats.
- Punctuality: Members are expected to arrive on time for scheduled classes and be picked up promptly after class ends.
- Parent & Spectator Behavior: Parents and guardians observing classes are expected to maintain a respectful presence. Coaching from the sidelines is not permitted unless authorized by staff.
- Zero Tolerance for Violence Outside of Class: Use of wrestling or combat techniques learned in class outside of the training environment (e.g., fighting at school or in public) is strictly prohibited and may lead to suspension or termination of membership.
- Consequences: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Verbal warning
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent dismissal from the Academy (no refund)
8. Modifications and Agreement Updates
Wrestling Academy LLC reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any material changes via email or in writing.
